About the HeartStrong Faith

At HeartStrongFaith, our mission is to deepen our understanding of the Bible and strengthen our faith in Christ. We are called to one thing, and that is to follow Christ. However, we won’t follow someone we don’t trust, we can’t trust someone we don’t know, and we can’t know Christ apart from His Word.

Through powerful women’s conferences, we see women coming together to worship, pray, learn, and ultimately, lead others to Christ. Through ongoing self-paced and small group study, we see women growing and flourishing as they root themselves in the good soil of the Gospel, gaining influence and impact for the Kingdom of God. We see the ripple effect extending through the workplace, the schools, our churches, and our social circles as women read, study, understand, and apply the Word of God to their lives. We pray that the Lord would bless this endeavor as we seek to glorify the mighty name of Christ Jesus.

Who We Are

HeartStrong Faith is a ministry initiative partnership with 90.9 KCBI, the KCBI Radio Network, and First Baptist Church of Dallas to produce women’s conferences that teach women what the Bible is, how to properly understand it, and how to get the most out of their personal study so they can deepen their walk with our Lord Jesus Christ. We employ theologically sound Bible teachers who can passionately and articulately bring the Scriptures to life and show how these ancient texts are relevant to today’s rapidly changing culture.

Why We Exist

  1. Commissioned by Christ: Matthew 28:19-20 and Acts 1:8 record the final words of Jesus, a commissioning that those called by Him would be sent out to disciple, baptize, and teach.
  2. Called to Equip: Ephesians 4:11-16 teaches us that the apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers are given to the Body of Christ to equip His people for the work of ministry. HeartStrong Faith will equip women to discover the beauty of Christ through a right understanding of the Scriptures, enabling them to discover their gifts and give back to the Body and expand the Kingdom.
  3. Encourage Growth: Paul exhorts the church in Ephesians 4:13 to “become mature.” HeartStrong Faith aims to move women from “milk” to “solid food” by teaching them how to study God’s word for themselves.
  4. Promote of Sound Teaching: We believe that the Holy Spirit is working in the hearts of His people, but uses pastors and teachers to build a bridge from our ancient texts to today. In Acts 8:26-40, Phillip is sent by the Lord to a desert road where he meets a eunuch from Ethiopia. The eunuch was reading a passage from the prophet Isaiah, and when Phillip asked if he understood it, the eunuch answered, “How can I unless someone explains it to me (8:31)?” Phillip responds by walking him through the Scriptures, and upon his understanding, the eunuch expresses a desire to be immediately baptized.
  5. To Deepen Our Faith: Romans 10:17 states that “faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.” Revelation 12:11 reminds us that the enemy is defeated by “the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony.” As we faithfully exposit the word and share the work of the Spirit in our own lives, the Spirit moves in the hearts of the hearers to respond.

Our Vision

At HeartStrongFaith, we see a fast-paced society that never slows down. It is our desire to lead women into a deeper, richer, more intimate relationship with Jesus than they ever thought possible. Through ongoing self-paced and small group studies made available on the website, we see women growing and flourishing as they root themselves in the good soil of the Gospel, gaining influence and impact for the Kingdom of God. We see the ripple effect extending through the workplace, the schools, our churches, and our social circles as women read, study, understand, and apply the Word of God to their lives. We pray that the Lord would bless this endeavor as we seek to glorify the mighty name of Christ Jesus.

Why Now?

Biblical Illiteracy in the Church:

  • Fewer than half of all adults can name the four gospels
  • Many Christians cannot identify more than two or three of the disciples
  • 60 percent of Americans can’t name even five of the Ten Commandments
  • 82 percent of Americans think that “God helps those who help themselves,” is a Bible verse
  • A majority of adults think the Bible teaches that the most important purpose in life is taking care of one’s family
  • At least 12 percent of adults believe that Joan of Arc was Noah’s wife
  • Over 50% of graduating HS seniors thought that Sodom and Gomorrah were husband and wife
  • A considerable number of respondents to one poll indicated that the Sermon on the Mount was preached by Billy Graham

“Christians who lack biblical knowledge are the products of churches that marginalize biblical knowledge. Bible teaching now often accounts for only a diminishing fraction of the local congregation’s time and attention. The move to small group ministry has certainly increased opportunities for fellowship, but many of these groups never get beyond superficial Bible study.”

What We Believe

We believe in the Trinitarian nature of God as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe that God reveals Himself through the person and works of Jesus Christ through the Holy Scriptures. We hold the Bible, both Old and New Testaments, as completely authoritative and inerrant.

Why Us?

The KCBI Radio Network spans the entire DFW area, with satellite stations carrying the signal to Hico, Stephenville, San Angelo, and Frederick/Lawton, Oklahoma. For our current purposes, we will consider only statistics concerning the flagship station, 90.9 KCBI in the greater Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex. Prioritized numbers are red.

According to Niche Local, a homebuyer’s guide that compiles and presents demographics from the U.S. Census Bureau, 90.9 KCBI covers approximately 9,636 square miles, broadcasting to 6,575,833 people, 50.7% female, 49.3% male.

KCBI’s target demographic has historically been the 35-64-year-old female. HeartStrongFaith seeks to pursue all women ages 18+, focusing particularly on the 25-64-year-old woman. There are 1,775,475 women that fall into our target demo.  90.9 KCBI reaches an average of 350,000 listeners a week, 63% of which are females between the ages of 35-64 years old. KCBI is unique in its format, blending Christ-centered music with Christ-centered teaching; the biggest “Bible-minded” radio station in Dallas/Fort Worth and beyond.

First Baptist Church of Dallas features state-of-the-art facilities with a new worship center comfortably seating 3000 people. The church also has access to two parking garages and sits within close walking distance of several hotels and many restaurants.
